Under his leadership, the company's record label, Energize Music, has managed high-profile artists like Ty Bello and Greatman Takit, and their recent album emerged as the highest-charting gospel album nationally and globally on Apple Music. Tochukwu Macfoy’s ability to create influential partnerships has been pivotal in organising grand-scale events, such as bringing Lecrae to Nigeria.

Before founding Same Energy, Tochukwu Macfoy, also known as Dr Foy, served as Content Director/Marketing Lead at Dentsu Nigeria and Team Lead at its subsidiary, Story Lab, where he played a pivotal role in content creation and strategic partnership development. His notable accomplishments include producing over 60 episodes of a football show for Budweiser and executing successful campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola and has a produced show on Netflix As Communications, Partnership, and Special Project Lead at Viacom Nigeria, now known as Paramount Africa, he demonstrated exceptional strategic thinking by creating a strategy for the cohesion of digital and traditional media. He secured distribution deals for Comedy Central in West Africa and spearheaded premium campaigns for high-profile brands like Airtel, MasterCard, and Access Bank across sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career at Cool/Wazobia TV as a Producer, Content Assistant, and TV Show Host. Tasked with creating and deploying engaging content for both Television and Radio stations, he hosted two popular TV shows, 'The Flagship Night Show' and 'Body and Soul Show'.
